Cusco--Photos #2

                                                   Santo Domingo Convent yards

                                                              Inside convent
Smallest stone in the wall.  Not a chip as it goes completely through the wall.  You tell me how they did it.

                                                             Our hotel in Cusco
                                                     Peruvian woman with llama
Views of Cusco.  It was a very clean city.

Traditional dress of country women with some llamas

One of the three walls to fortress.
Corner stones were the largest.  This one is estimated to weigh 125 tons.
                                                   Only entrance into fortress.
Wall was 20 feet high.  Probably ramps were used to get stones in place.

Stones polished with other stones to make them fit so tightly that you cannot slip a piece of paper between them.
Huge stones moved over 2 miles without animals.  Probably used logs to roll them, pulled by many Incas.
